Dr. Araujo is a transportation engineer who graduated at the Bergische Universitaet Wuppertal (Germany). He holds a masters degree in Economics (Economic Faculty of the University of Sao Paulo) and a PhD in Production Engineering (Polytechnic School of the University of Sao Paulo). He carried out post-doctoral programs at the Brazilian Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), University of Minho Engineering School (EEUM) and Engineering School of the Porto University (FEUP), Portugal. He is an Associated Professor of the Rio de Janeiro State University and is reviewer of Brazilian and International journals in the Production and Management Engineering, and an area editor of the Journal of Aerospace Technology and Management. He has 30 years experience in the automotive industry (Mercedes-Benz) and aeronautics (EMBRAER). Main areas of research: industry and air transportproductivity, quality management and environmental economics. He has also published over 15 scientific and didactic books about industry productivity and scientific methodology.
