Mr. Muhammad Usman, Former Director General of Agricultural Research System, Govt. of Pakistan who retired from service after a spotless career of about 35 years (1974-2009) with senior level experience work on the research and development of integrated agricultural industries like livestock and dairy development, aquaculture and fishery, apiculture and poultry, on a sustainable way.
I got my bachelor (B.Sc (Hons)) and master (M.Phil.) degree from Agriculture University Peshawar, while did my Ph.D degree from Institute of Fruit Sciences (Horticulture Department), College of agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University, P.R. China in 2015. Now From 2015, I am working as an assistant professor, at Department of Agriculture (Horticulture), Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, KPK, Pakistan. Teaching, Research, Laboratory management and some other administrative responsibilities are my main job in the university. Dr. Akas Pinaringan Sujalu is a Associate Professor at Agrotechnology Department of Agricultural Faculty, the University of 17 Agustus 1945 Samarinda (East Kalimantan, Indonesia). Bekir Erol AK is a professor and head of the Department of Horticulture at the University of Harran, Faculty of Agriculture. Professor Ak, finished his education from Cukurova University and served as Assistant at the Same University. After completing of his MSc and PhD on Pistachio turned to Sanliurfa University of Harran. He has been invited to numerous international meetings on Pistachio and almond as keynote speaker and is Liaison Officer on Pistachio nut of FAO –CIHEAM Network on Nut. He has organized international and national symposium or meetings on fruit crops. He has on duty international project about pistachio nut which is supported by FAO. His researches on pistachio, almond, olives, pomegranate, figs etc. on fruit trees. These areas include rootstocks, cultivars, mineral nutrition, pollination, micro propagation, pruning of trees etc. He has conducted numerous research projects in Sanliurfa, Southeast Anatolian region. He has over 200 publications on different fruit crops.
Hamid El Bilali is a researcher and a consultant at the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM-Bari), Italy. I hold a MSc in Mediterranean organic agriculture and a PhD in agricultural sciences. In the period February 2017-January 2019, I served as a post-doc fellow on “Sustainability transitions and food security” at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna. I am engaged in research, training and cooperation activities relating to sustainable food systems, food security, Mediterranean diet, food losses and waste, sustainable food consumption and production, traditional and typical agro-food products, rural livelihoods diversification, and rural policy and governance.
Mohamed El-Esawi is an Associate Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Botany Department of Faculty of Science at Tanta University in Egypt. He has received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Tanta University in Egypt, and his PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Dublin Institute of Technology, Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) in Ireland. Afterwards, Dr. El-Esawi joined the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom as a Visiting Research Fellow. Then, he joined the University of Sorbonne (Pierre and Marie Curie-UPMC) in France as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Following those positions, Dr. El-Esawi joined the Division of Crop Biotechnics of KU Leuven in Belgium as a Research Fellow. Then, he joined the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom as a Visiting Research Fellow. Dr. El-Esawi is very interested in Genetics, Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Molecular Plant Physiology, Developmental Biology, Plant-Microbe Interaction, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. He has given numerous talks and participated at more than 55 conferences, meetings, and workshops in highly regarded institutions nationally and internationally. Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an Associate Researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the Built Environment and Master of Philosophy degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham. He is qualified Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from University of El Menoufia, Egypt, BSc in Mechanical Engineering. His previous experience involved being a member of the research team at the National Council for Research/Energy Research Institute in Sudan and working director of research and development for National Water Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Sudan. He has been listed in the book WHO’S WHO in the World 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 100 review articles, 5 books and 100 chapters in books.

Haleama Al Sabbah is an Associate Professor and Researcher in Public Health Nutrition. She completed her Ph.D in Public Health Nutrition (Medical Sciences) in 2008 from the Faculty of Medicine,/ Gent University, Belgium. She was awarded a doctoral scholarship from Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC). Her Ph.D study was part of the National Study of Palestinian Health Behaviors in School-aged Children (HBSC-2004). From 2011-2012, Haleama was a Fulbright Senior Visiting Scholar and did Post-Doctoral studies in Public Health and Nutrition at Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Center,/ Tufts University, Boston, USA. From 2009 to 2013, she served as director of Public Health Department,/ Faculty of Medicine,/ An-Najah University, Palestine. Dr. Al Sabbah has published numerous articles in scientific journals and served as an editorial board member and reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. Haleama earned her first degree in Public Health Nutrition from the Faculty of Medicine/ Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 1990. She worked as a nutritionist in a number of hospitals in Amman, Jordan and then at Amman University. In 1995, she worked at the Red Crescent Society Maternity Hospital in Ramallah. In 1997, she was awarded a scholarship for postgraduate masters-level study in Public Health at the Community Health Institute, Birzeit University, Palestine. During her study at Birzeit University, she focused on Primary Health care. From 1998-2000, Haleama received another scholarship to study for a Master of Philosophy degree in International Community Health and Nutrition in the Faculty of Medicine at Oslo University, Norway. Her Master’s thesis title was “Diabetes Self-Management in Rural Palestinian Community”.
