Dr. Yu-Han Hung is currently a postdoctoral research scientist in Lightwave research laboratory, Columbia University, USA.Dr. Yu-Han Hung received MS and PhD degrees from National Cheng Kung University studying nonlinear dynamics of semiconductor lasers and their applications in 2012 and 2016, respectively. He then stayed as a postdoctoral research fellow for two yearsbefore he moved to Columbia University as a postdoctoral research scientist. Dr. Yu-Han Hung’s research interests lie on academic investigation and industrial applications of silicon photonic (Sip)-based devices, including passive devices (such as microring resonators (MRR), switches and interleavers) and active devices (such as semiconductor lasers). He desires to understand the behaviors of these devices to meet the key industrial requirements, such as datacenter (DC) interconnect, high performance computing systems, optical access networks of the fifth-generation (5G) wireless communication systems and bio-photonics. The significance of his research contributions has been demonstrated in 13 peer-reviewed technical papers, 8 international technical patents, and 33 international conference papers.
