Genoveva Nacheva has completed her PhD from the Engelhard Institute of Molecular Biology in Russia. She did her postdoctoral training at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. At present Genoveva is Associate Professor at the Institute of Molecular Biology Roumen Tsanev, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The current research interests of Genoveva are focused on the structure and function of human interferon-gamma and development of new therapeutic approaches to treatment of autoimmune diseases. She was awarded Inventor of the year 2017 in the field of Chemistry and Biotechnology” for the patent Endogenous human gamma interferon suppressor. Genoveva has published more than 30 publications and 9 patents and patent applications, which are cited more than 600 times.
