My name is Lorena Giuranno and I am an Italian researcher at Maastricht University, in the Netherlands. I was born on September 30th, 1989 in Puglia, in the south-east of Italy. I graduated in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology at the University of L’Aquila, in the center of Italy. I performed my Ph.D at Maastricht University where I graduated on December 5th with a thesis on Lung Stem Cells, NOTCH and radiation therapy. I am currently a postdoc at the department of Radiation Oncology, in Maastricht University and I am working on the response of COPD stem cells to the combination of NOTCH inhibition and radiotherapy to reduce radiation side effects.
