Isabel Ben Batalla has studied Molecular Biology and has completed her Ph.D thesis at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) focusing in proliferation and metastasis of breast cancer. Afterwards, she has moved to Hamburg (University Clinic Eppendorf, Germany), where she developed her postdoctoral studies investigating the role of the TAMR in hematological malignancies. She has moved this year to the DKFZ (Heidelberg, Germany), where she is focused on the study of novel mechanisms of tumor-stroma interactions in solid and hematologic malignancies, aiming to identify novel targets potentially useful to develop new anti-cancer therapies.
