Currently, he is a Full Professor in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech). Steven Guan is currently a Professor and the Director for Research Institute of Big Data Analytics at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). Steven Guan received his BSc. from Tsinghua University and M.Sc. & Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel HillHe served the head of department position at XJTLU for 4.5 years, creating the department from scratch and now in shape. Bedir Tekinerdogan is full professor and chair holder of the Information Technology group at Wageningen University in The Netherlands. He received his MSc degree and a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente in The Netherlands. Until 2008 he was a faculty member at University of Twente, after which he joined Bilkent University until the end of 2014. At Bilkent University he has founded and led the Software Engineering Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in software/systems engineering and information technology. He is the author of around 300 peer-reviewed scientific papers. He has been active in dozens of national and international research and consultancy projects with various large software and systems engineering companies whereby he has worked as a principal researcher and leading software/systems architect. He has developed and taught around 20 different academic courses and has provided software/systems engineering courses to more than 50 companies in The Netherlands, Germany, and Turkey. His current research interests are in systems engineering, system of systems engineering, socio-technical systems, cyber-physical systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and information technology.
Dr. Maode Ma, Fellow of IET, received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1999. Now, Dr. Ma is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He has extensive research interests including network security and wireless networking. Dr. Ma has over 400 international academic publications including about 200 journal papers and over 200 conference papers. He has delivered about 70 keynote speeches at various international conferences. He has served as conference chairs for over 100 international conferences. N.Quang received the B.Eng. He has a wide range of experience in both industry and academia in China and the UK, and has held positions as Design Engineer, Professor, Director of Research and Head of Department. He is currently Professor and Director of Virtual Reality Engineering Centre at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. His research interests include CAD, virtual reality, robot navigation and operations research. He has over 200 peer reviewed publications and supervised 20 PhD students to successful completion. He has led over 20 research and professional projects with substantial funding from major funding bodies and industry. He is currently an Associate Editor for International Journal of Distributed Systems and Technologies.
Nikos Kalatzis received the BSc degree from the Physics Department of the University of Ioannina-Greece and the MSc degree on Information Systems by the University of London and since then he has gained a wide range of experience in both industry and academia. For the last 15 years is a Research Associate and Software Systems Architect at Computer Science Division of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). For the last 5 years, he also works as Technical Project Manager and Scientific Consultant for ICT companies.

Prasanta Ghosh is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. He has been conducting research in the area of microelectronics and power engineering. He has authored and co-authored many journal articles and conference papers in the area of thin films, solid-state devices, and power engineering. As a Fulbright Scholar, he has traveled internationally to teach engineering students and delivered lectures on his research. Hoshang Kolivand is Assistant Professor in Computer Graphics. He received his MS degree in applied mathematics and computer from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, in 1999, and his PhD from Media and Games Innovation Centre of Excellence (MaGIC-X) in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2013. Dr. Qiang(Shawn) Cheng received the BS and MS degrees from the College of Mathematical Science at Peking University, China, and the PhD degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is currently an associate professor at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics, the Department of Computer Science, and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky. His previous experience includes working as a faculty fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson, OH, and a senior researcher at Siemens Medical/Corporate Research, Siemens Corp., Princeton, NJ. Du received the PhD in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 1998. He founded Xonlink Inc., Ningbo, China in 2014. He was Chief Scientist at Enjoyor Inc., Hangzhou, China from 2012 to 2014. He was on research staff at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada from 2001 to 2010. Prior to 2001, he was on technical staff with Huawei Technologies, China Academy of Telecommunication Technology, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. Verena Kantere has worked for the past 10 years on various problems related to cloud data management and Big Data management. She has been developing methods, algorithms and fully fledged systems for the provision of data services in large-scale systems, focusing on the optimization of performance and cost of Big Data analytics. During her graduate studies she developed methods, algorithms and fully fledged systems for data exchange and coordination in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) overlays with structured and unstructured data, focusing on the solution of problems of data heterogeneity, query processinge and rewriting, multi-dimensionality and management of continuous queries.
