Tim K.T. Tse, Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prof. Tim K.T. Tse is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His expertise and research interest lie in wind engineering, urban wind environment, and flow-structural vibration. He has published over 250 SCI journal articles,conference papers and consultancy reports, and received a number of international awards/prizes, including the IAWE Award by the International Association for Wind Engineering. Prior to his academic positions in universities, he had over 10 years of experience in managing more than 30 wind engineering consulting studies worldwide at the CLP Wind/Wave Tunnel Facility. In addition, Prof. Tse has managed over 15 competitive earmarked research funded projects from various funding sources, including Hong Kong, Australia, Turkey, Japan, etc. Currently, he is commissioned as an individual consultant to review the traffic management and vehicle instability under high wind condition initiated by the Highway Department and Transportation Department of HKSAR. Prof. Tse is the President of the Hong Kong Wind Engineering Society and serves in a number of committees in government departments, such as Technical Committee for the Revision of Code of Practice on Wind Effects in Hong Kong 2004 and Expanded Building Committee on Air Ventilation Assessment, Building Department, HKSAR.
