Dr. JieshanQiu is Cheung-Kong Distinguished Professor of Carbon Science and Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), and Dean of BUCT’s Chemical Engineering College. He is an internationally-recognized research and thought leader in chemical engineering and carbon science. His research encompasses both fundamental and applied aspects of carbon materials and science, with a focus on the methodologies of producing carbon materials for energy storage and conversion, catalysis and environment protection. He has published 690+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Materials, Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., PNAS, Nature Commun., Nano Energy, ACS Nano, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Joule,Matter, Nano Today, etc., with a citation 27600+ times and h-index of 84 (web of sci.). He has a strong record of innovation – with 140+ Chinese and International patents issued. Currently, he is the Vice President of Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology, Associate Editor of CIESC Journal, and is on the advisory board of 22 high profile journals, including Chemical Engineering Science, and Science China Materials. He is a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher in the cross-field in 2018 and 2019, and 2019 Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher in the field of chemical engineering. He has served as Associate Editor of three international journals for years, including: Carbon, FlatChem and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering.
