Prof. Boris Luk’yanchuk graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia under supervision of Prof. A. A. Abrikosov. Luk’yanchuk got his PhD from P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute, Academy of Sciences of USSR, 1979. Later he worked as a Head of the Laboratory at General Physics Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. He is Honorary Professor at Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria. During 1999-2019 Luk’yanchuk was working in Data Storage Institute in Singapore where he got IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Awards 2004, President`s Science Award 2013, and Institute of Physics Singapore (IPS) gold medal and award, 2016. Scientific interests of Boris Luk’yanchuk are related to laser matter interactions. He published 5 monographs and above 280 original papers.
