Dr. Andre da Cunha Lima is a Professor of Physics at the Federal University of Bahia. He is the current head of the Department of Earth and Environment Physics at the Institute of Physics, working on the undergraduate course in Physics and Engineering; in the Graduate Program at CIEnAm / UFBA (Interdisciplinary Center for Energy and Environment) and in the Graduate Program in Computational Modeling and Industrial Technology at SENAI / CIMATEC. As a researcher in Physics, Oceanography, Geophysics, and Environment, he works on projects of Computational Fluid Dynamics (turbulence and vorticity transport), Ocean Engineering (fluid-structure interaction), Numerical Simulations in Porous Media (water and hydrocarbon reservoirs), and Modeling and Monitoring of oil spills and contaminants in the ocean.
