Prof. Zhi-Cheng Xiao received his Doctor of natural science degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. He was also trained at Harbin Medical University, University of Science and Technology in China, and Beijing Medical University as a medical student and MSc and Ph.D. candidate. He was a postdoctoral fellow of the University of California, University of Southern California, University of Rochester, McGill University, and University Hamburg. In 1999, he worked as Senior Neuroscientist at Zentrum fuer Molekulare Neurobiologie. He joined Singapore General Hospital in 2000 as a principal investigator. He worked as Associate Professor, at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, and Hong Kong University. He worked as Adjunct Professor, at Kunming Medical College, China. Then he joined GlaxoSmithKline in 2009 as a Director of Innovative Research and currently working as a full-time Professor at Monash University. He published 103 articles, 5 chapters in books and has 8 patents.
