Albert V. Minkevich received his PhD in theoretical physics (the theory of interaction of gravitational and other physical fields) in 1970 from the Belarusian State University (BSU), Minsk. The thesis for the degree of Doctor of the Physical and Mathematical Sciences on the topic "Physical aspects of the gauge approach in the theory of gravitational interactions" was earned in the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 1986. The academic title of professor was awarded in 1987 by the Higher Attestation Commission (Moscow). Since 1987 A. Minkevich is professor at the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics of BSU. Currently, he is also a senior professor at the Warmia and Mazury University in Olsztyn (Poland). He has published more than 200 papers in reputed journals, various thematic publications, in the materials of conferences. He was the head of a number of research projects on gravity, cosmology and astrophysics. He was member of the organizational and program committees of various international conferences (Russia, Italy, Vietnam, Brazil, France, India, Poland, Sweden, Belarus), delivered lectures on the scientific results obtained in various scientific research organizations (Poland, Vietnam, France, USA, Germany). Since 2002, Professor Minkevich is a member of the European Academy of Sciences (Belgium).
